Gas-burning cars, hybrids, and electric cars. Most modern cars fall into one of these three categories. Of the three, gas cars are the least environmentally friendly, while hybrids are better, and electric cars are the best… At least that’s what some automakers want you to think.

We here at Ride know better. Despite our love for electric vehicles, we understand the nuances to clean energy that make this generally accepted idea less than 100% accurate. The reality is that the production of electric cars is actually worse on the environment than that of their gas brethren, and depending on the scenario, EVs aren’t always the most “green” option to drive.
