In this episode of Ride News Now with Alison Haislip, Toyota finally dives into the pure EV space, Bird has a new ride for sharing, and a Tesla Model 3 does a great job of avoiding an accident.
- Up first, Toyota may be a hybrid pioneer, but it’s been slow to wander into the pure EV space. That’s all set to change as the Japanese automaker has announced its aggressive plan to bring a fully charged lineup to market. By 2025, Toyota wants to sell 5.5 million electric vehicles.
- Next, Bird has a new vehicle to offer the e-mobility rideshare set. It’s called the Bird Cruiser, and it’s a sit-down-style scooter. This one is a bit unique though, in that it offers seating for two.
- Finally, a Tesla camera system captured a Model 3 performing some proper evasive maneuvers. As traffic merges in front of it, the car senses a pending crash. So the Model 3 slows down and avoids the accident.
